The greatest composers are also among the greatest performers. I'm very confident in my compositional capabilities, and I believe that my ability to perform is strong as well. If you haven't checked out my other social media, I would encourage you to do so now. You'll notice that when I perform, I never have music in front of me. This because I have an ability that not many classical musicians or composers have, improvisation. Given some source material or none at all, I can improvise pieces, fugues even, all of a quality similar to the compositions I sit down and write out note for note. The sample on the left is an example of me improvising what would eventually become one of the "standards" I play in my jazz gigs.
