The video playing on the right is the debut of my first stand tune, "Swingin' in the Cells", commissioned by the director of the ensemble you see for the Sam Houston State University - Bill Watrous Jazz Festival. This performance is especially meaningful to me as I taught everyone in that video their parts. I was the Student Director of Jazz Bands at Berkner High School for most of my time there. By the end of my senior year, I had risen up to become both the Student Instructor of Bands and the Student Coordinator of Fine Arts for my high school, which is nationally known for its band programs. I pride myself on my ability to give to others what so many have given to me which has led me to where I am now.
